Praise God for the help and blessing brought to many through SGA’s humanitarian ministry. Care offered through the Widows’ Project greatly helps with the plight that these women encounter. Since the year 2000 substantial financial help has been sent for distribution by local pastors to those most in need in their areas.
Anisoara, who is 62 years old, is one of those who has received vital support from her local church. Her partner of 15 years died 3 years ago. She is staying in the dilapidated house that belonged to him, but of which she has no ownership, as they were never married. The ownership of the house is in the process of being transferred to the man’s relatives.
According to Romanian law she has no rights to possession of the propriety, although she was the only one looking after him while he was crippled and bedridden.
However, having no place to live isn’t the only problem that she is facing! She has no source of income, since she worked all her life without being employed, so she does not receive any money. On top of all this, she has impaired hearing.
Thank you for providing for her during the past 3 years. She has put her trust alone in Christ for salvation, but she needs encouragement on her way. The Lord has shown mercy to her through people who help her in these challenging times.
She has been ordered by her late partner’s family to leave the property, but the official papers are not complete, so she has extended time to find another place to stay.
SGA Widows’ Project has for many years been in the forefront of our humanitarian Crisis Response ministry. Thousands of widows of all ages in many countries have been helped, and the need has not gone away. The support of widows has become more critical and urgent than ever.
SGA is helping ‘war widows’ in Ukraine, women ‘widowed’ through being rejected by their husbands who oppose their Christian faith, and widows who struggle with the cost of living because of meagre pensions and inadequate income.
