God works wonderfully in bringing people into contact with one another, including in Chuna, a town in the Irkutsk region of Far East Russia.
Kazakhstani born Anton Plotnikov now lives there with his Ukrainian wife Anastasia. Together they serve the God who brought them together and took them to this rarely visited town for which Anton had long been praying.
Prepared by God through a number of years working with young people, they now minister to an orphanage where they have recently constructed a playground and where they share from God’s Word. As a result of this, Elvira, a girl who for some time has been regularly attending Sunday meetings, has come to faith and has now asked that she be baptised.
Furthermore, God’s goodness has extended so that a plot of land has become available. It is now in the process of being bought with a view to building a church on it so that the increasing congregation in Chuna can continue to meet and grow in the knowledge of the Lord.

So, it is not just people that God is bringing together! Anton and Anastasia who are SGA sponsored Gospel workers, are bringing those who have never heard the Gospel into contact with the Good News of Jesus Christ for the very first time.
Pray that God would make contact with many in far-off places.
Anton & Anastasia Plotnikov with their two children, are one of nine missionary families in Far East Russia supported through SGA. With winter temperatures plummeting making this the coldest region in the world, our missionary families are very grateful for your prayerful and practical support.
