Pastor Chris Osiecki described how the Lord worked a miracle. “The Lord moved some mountains this past month and I am happy to report that we are in the process of purchasing a property.”
“The first is that He led someone to buy the land the church had been trying to sell for the past year. Secondly, the Lord also provided a large sum of money. Thirdly, the owner of the property we were looking at decided to lower the price. With the funds on hand, the church funds from Wejherowo, and the sale of the land, we can purchase the property. Praise the Lord!”
The Baptist church in Wejherowo, Poland was started by Chris Osiecki and his Polish mission partner Jaroslav Korzeniowski, who for several years was sponsored by SGA UK. Initial ministry began in 2010. The growth of the church was primarily through conversions to Christ. Wejherowo is a city in the staunchly Roman Catholic Kashubian region of Poland. Chris explained: “Mission work is challenging here but not impossible. The church currently has 28 adult members and 11 children, with some regular guests as well. This is a moderate congregation by Polish standards.”
The property is the bottom floor of a building on a main street in Wejherowo. There is good visibility with a lot of parking nearby.
Chris has longed for the funds to have a permanent building for worship. He felt that, from a human standpoint, having a permanent building would solidify the congregation for long term ministry.
We rejoice that God has provided for this building and that the reconstruction work will commence soon. Through your support, SGA UK has been able to help with this project. Praise God for this property and pray that it will be used by God to reach this community.
