THREE NEW HOPE CENTRES
Three new Hope Centres are currently under construction in Far East Russia. Because of the region’s challenging weather conditions, building work can only be undertaken during a few short months of the year but, following the providentially timely provision of funds made available by SGA, it is hoped that all three will be finished by September, allowing them to be used to serve the people of Ola (Kolyma), Krest Khakut and Neryungri.
This is good news indeed, not only because the buildings being used at present are old and in a state of disrepair, but also because of the significant numbers of people now coming to faith in this often inhospitable part of the world.
The fact that there is urgent need for these new meeting places to be completed is truly remarkable. In years past many Christians in Ola were killed because of their faith.
In Neryungri there were, until recently, only a few who followed Jesus, and in Krest Khakut, with the arrival of an SGA-supported translation of the Bible in their own language, the Gospel is today being shared with the Yakutian people.
But it is not only in Ola, Neryungri and Krest Khakut that God is saving His people. Believers from these villages are travelling to further, more remote areas ensuring that the Gospel is even now being taken to the very ends of the earth.
God really does have the whole world in His hands.
