New Additions to Staff

Almaty Bible Institute (ABI) in Kazakhstan has been training and preparing students for Gospel ministry for over thirty years. The institute recognises its responsibility not only to Biblically educate its students but to equip these men and women for effective ministry where God has placed them.

This year has seen the highest ever intake of students, with 110 enrolled in the programmes, creating an urgent need for additional staff. SGA is expanding its partnership with ABI, through the sponsorship of two new part-time members of staff.

Alexander

At the age of 10 Alexander attended his first Sunday School lesson and a few years later while at camp, he accepted Christ as his Saviour. He has served the local church as a youth leader, deacon and now as a pastor. Just recently he was appointed as a regional leader.

Alexander will teach several courses at ABI, including hermeneutics, exegesis and New Testament books, and will also assist with teaching in other locations.

Anastasia

Anastasia trusted the Lord at the age of 10 at a Christian camp. After university, she trained as a children’s worker and began serving with a children’s missionary organisation in Kazakhstan, gaining experience across many areas of children’s ministry and helping train others for service.

She will assist in developing student guides, textbooks and academic materials for ABI, and will also teach subjects related to children’s and youth ministry.

Pray for the staff of ABI as they seek to prepare students for Gospel ministry and leadership.
