the inside story

To all the nations

It is inspiring that people in Pamir are open to the Good News and we see that through our ministry people find hope.
SGA is striving to fulfil the commission of Matthew 28:19 and Mark 13:10 to make known the Gospel to all the nations. In fellowship with our partners in Central Asia, God is opening the door for ministry to the lost in Pamir.

Plans are currently in place for repair work on a newly-purchased Hope Centre, which will afford further practical opportunities to witness to the Pamiri people about Christ. Please pray that God will raise up a family to serve there in this challenging and special ministry.

Vlad, one of our Project70 missionaries writes:

“In the summer I had a trip to the Pamirs. We visited people, told them about God, helped them with food and warm clothes. When we climbed to a height of over 4000 metres, it became more difficult to breathe, we lacked air. It was especially difficult at night when we were sleeping. I plan to make another trip to the Pamirs. I want to spend more time there and help people. There is a great need there. Many people live in yurts. They don't have their own homes and it is cold in winter. We want to take more help and through this help reach people for Christ.”

Another brother, Sergey, also regularly visits Pamir. He says,
“It is inspiring that people in Pamir are open to the Good News and we see that through our ministry people find hope”.

He tells the story of a woman with three children, whose husband is in prison. She was ejected from their house by the husband’s family. The believers were able to find rented accommodation for them and provide them with other support.

“In her and the children’s eyes we see that they have found hope for the future, they are listening to the Good News with their hearts”.
