For many years SGA has provided financial assistance to our partners for building or renovation of Houses of Prayer [church buildings] in Eastern Europe and more recently in Central Asia. While these are not elaborate or expensive buildings, they are adequate for God’s people to meet to worship Him in village settings.
Recently the Mission received a request for funding from Moldova to help make the House of Prayer in the village of Shalviry a safe place to worship. Due to foundation deficiencies this building was in a precarious position and the structure no longer safe to use. The building required urgent repairs so that the village congregation could continue to meet together.
The missionary, Igor Kojuhari, explains the wonderful blessing SGA funding has brought to this village church:
We bring you cordial thanks for your prayers and for the financial support which helped us finish the repairs of the prayer house in the village of Shalviry. This building has been totally remodeled and now it is a great blessing for the church and the whole village. It is an encouragement to us that God answers our prayer needs miraculously through you, being so far apart from each other, but God has brought us so close in this ministry.

Praise God that in another village there are ‘Stones that Speak’ of the living church of Jesus Christ. This is not the whole story!
Recently, funding was provided for a building in Ukraine where a new church has been established. Now the Mission is responding to pressing needs in Central Asia where we are currently helping to fund five buildings. We believe that they too will be ‘Stones that Speak’ of Christ and His Church!
