God’s Word for Kyrgyzstan
Providing 30,000 Bible Sets
God is at work in
KYRGYZSTAN
We have a day of opportunity to take a major step forward in bringing the Gospel to this spiritually needy country. Islam predominates, with an estimated 90% or more professing allegiance.
THEY NOW HAVE ACCESS TO THE SCRIPTURES IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE AND ARE FINDING WAYS OF GETTING BIBLE TRUTH TO THE PEOPLE.
Despite ongoing radical Islamization evangelical believers in Kyrgyzstan, who make up only a tiny percentage of the population, are active in outreach, anxious to use what opportunities there are for evangelism while the door is still open. They now have access to the Scriptures in their own language and are finding ways of getting Bible truth to the people, sometimes at great cost to themselves. However, they need our help to make the most of these opportunities while they still exist!
A proven
Strategy
Three thousand Bible sets have already been distributed to families across Kyrgyzstan. Each set includes a family-friendly storybook Bible—designed to lead naturally to the full adult Bible, which is also part of the set. Strong family bonds in Central Asia have shaped our approach to introducing Scripture to the Kyrgyz people.
THREE THOUSAND ‘BIBLE SETS’ HAVE ALREADY BEEN DISTRIBUTED.
Central Asian adults and children alike love stories. Even families with little knowledge of Christianity are drawn to Bible stories that clearly present the overarching message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Our hope is that these stories spark a hunger to explore the full Bible, allowing God’s Word to transform lives.

A life
Transformed
When people encounter God’s Word, lives are transformed. Talantbek, a 41-year-old Kyrgyz man, endured a brutal childhood—beaten, neglected, and often locked out in freezing winters.
TODAY, THEY HOST A HOME GROUP OF 15 ADULTS AND 16 CHILDREN, AND TALANTBEK ALSO MINISTERS IN SEVERAL CHILDREN’S HOMES.
His cries to God sparked a spiritual search, but visits to the mosque left him disillusioned by the hypocrisy he saw. Lost and disheartened, he sank deeper into sin.
One day, Talantbek spotted a Bible on a friend’s shelf. “Can I read it?” he asked—and soon immersed himself in God’s Word. Though he searched for other believers, it wasn’t until he met a Christian woman in a cab that he was introduced to a church. Talantbek came to faith, married, and was baptized with his wife. Today, they host a home group of 15 adults and 16 children, and Talantbek also ministers in several children’s homes. He is passionate about sharing God’s Word with his people.
