Mongolia is in desperate need of the Gospel. It has been designated by some missiologists as an ‘unreached’ country, and while the church has known significant growth since the early 1990s, the tragic reality is that the vast majority of people have never heard of Jesus Christ or God’s plan of salvation.
Recognising the particular opportunities given to Bibel Mission to bring the Gospel to this land, believers in Kazakhstan and Russia have been planning evangelistic missions and other initiatives. In the light of these plans, a new request from a different ministry partner, Trans World Radio, was providential.
Mongolia is Trans World Radio’s newest ministry area in the Northeast Asia region. In April 2021 they began broadcasting a series of programmes with the specific aim of ‘introducing Jesus Christ to people who do not know Him.’
Working in partnership with national believers, TWR has produced material which concentrates on the birth, life, teaching, death and resurrection of Jesus. Broadcast on both the shortwave and FM platforms several times daily, TWR is praying that God will use these programmes to work in the hearts and lives of those who listen in. While still a relatively new initiative, TWR friends have been encouraged by the responses they have been receiving.
Through our faithful SGA supporters in the UK, we are pleased to be able to help meet the costs of these broadcasts and desire to see God’s blessing and favour on this new initiative.
