God’s protection and provision

One of the greatest challenges for Alexander Radin, an SGA-sponsored missionary pastor in Ukraine, was the destruction of his home. This deeply impacted his family as they came to terms with losing their home, which was burned down 4th August, leaving only charred walls.

For seven years, this home had served many people. It was a place where home group meetings were held, refugees found shelter, and those being evacuated could spend the night. Volunteers and chaplains were also able to refresh themselves there as they rested and enjoyed warm Christian hospitality before continuing their journeys.

Alexander points out that although they have suffered a great loss, he and his family rejoice, ‘that our house was able to serve for the glory of God, and we believe the Lord will not leave us to face this challenge alone’.

Almost at the same time as they were facing the loss of their home, another difficulty developed when their vehicle had serious engine problems during another evacuation trip from the Donetsk region. Yet in the midst of all that was happening, this family proved God as the faithful One. They were able to relocate to another region in Ukraine, but that is not all!

As Alexander shares, ‘perhaps the greatest joy of recent months has been the beginning of the new church. We rejoice that people are attending services, studying the Word, and seeking fellowship. It is a blessing to see how God is working in their hearts’.

Since this church started in mid-August, there are now at least 60 people attending, many still unconverted.  More than that, through your support, SGA was able to fund the vehicle repairs.  We praise God for his sustaining hand on Alexander and his family. Pray that through their ministry, many will come to faith in Christ.

He also has an outreach ministry in two nearby villages, where they visit, share the Gospel and help those in need. Keep praying for God’s faithful servants in Ukraine.
