Strengthening the Pulpit

A Ministry in Mongolia

The church in Mongolia has experienced encouraging growth in recent years. Alongside this growth however comes a pressing need: the training of men to faithfully preach the Word of God. As the late Martyn Lloyd-Jones once said, “The most urgent need in the Christian Church today is true preaching.” In many ways that statement reflects the situation facing churches across Mongolia.

Although helpful materials exist for personal Bible study, there are few programmes specifically designed to train men in the art of preaching. Many church leaders therefore lack the tools needed to move from studying Scripture privately to preparing faithful, Biblical sermons. At the same time churches are having to contend with the growing presence of cults and false teaching, thus making the need for well-equipped pastors even more urgent.

In response to this need SGA, together with ministry partners, has helped fund a Preachers’ School led by experienced and trusted church leaders. We thank God that this work is already bearing fruit. Two groups have completed the programme so far – 12 graduates in March 2024 and 11 in November 2025 – and many are now serving as pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders.

In early 2026, three new classes began with 43 students who are expected to complete their training in 2027. Please pray that the Lord will equip these men and use them to establish and strengthen healthy churches across Mongolia.
