The Ukrainian medical team supported by SGA continues to provide free healthcare across Ukraine to those who would not otherwise be able to afford it.
Working alongside local churches which provide venues for the clinics, those involved give up one to two weekends a month to care for those in need. Made up of two GPs, a cardiologist, an ophthalmologist and a paediatrician, the team has instant access to ECGs, ultrasound, and a limited number of near-patient blood tests.
Most clinicians see 30 patients during the course of a day and, as well as offering a diagnosis, are able to provide initial treatment from the range of medications they carry with them.
Whilst some weekends are spent practising in relatively safe parts of Ukraine, there are others times when they are serving in an altogether more dangerous part of the country.
Please pray for this very valuable ministry – for the team’s safety, the patients undergoing treatment, and opportunities to share the gospel with those they serve.
