Not forgotten

During times of conflict, focus is generally upon politicians or those who are defending their country.

Little comment is made upon the families and loved ones left behind, watching and waiting for news.

Pastor Sergey has a heart for such people and has been making it his mission to visit these families, supporting them, bringing aid where needed and also telling them about God’s love and concern for them. He recently visited one village called Kryvokhizhentsky, where his mother once lived. The village is on the verge of extinction. There are currently about 30 people living there. There is no school or post office, even bread is not brought to the people.  Many years ago, there was a small church, but it has long since closed. The authorities forgot about this village, but God did not.

Pastor Sergey decided to gather the people and hold a service. One woman repented and now over half the village come each Sunday to hear the Word of God.  Some have turned to Christ already.  The Word of God is not sown in vain. The wives and children of those serving in the military are grateful for the love and support shown to them. Please pray for these dear people, who need to know the love and hope that only Christ can bring.
