Here in the UK and Ireland, Christians look on helplessly as we see and read of so much death and destruction in Ukraine. We feel for our brothers and sisters undergoing pain and heartache on a daily basis.
We hear of church buildings being destroyed and homes flattened. We long to be able to do something practical and tangible to help.
It is encouraging to know that the believers in Ukraine are greatly supported and encouraged by the fact that millions of Christians are praying for them, all around the world. Pastor Igor Bandura reminds us that “Prayer is the most powerful weapon given to us by God” against the spiritual forces of darkness.
The second largest army in the world may be against our Ukrainian brothers and sisters, but an even bigger army of faithful intercessors is for them. Igor knows that Ukraine needs western financial support and provision, but he continues on to say “most of all we ask our brothers and sisters to continue to pray to God and intercede for Ukrainian Christians. Only through this, is victory possible and the Glory of God would be evident for many nations to see”.
We deeply appreciate your prayers – keep on praying!
