Project 1 : 10
This project is designed to maximize opportunities that Christmas presents for evangelism. Believers are encouraged to participate in distributing Christian calendars and Gospel literature over Christmas and New Year.
One believer will seek to evangelize ten people. Our desire and prayer is to reach 70,000 people in Central Asia with the Gospel during Christmas through personal evangelism.
Gospel material will be printed in the following languages:
Russian, Kazakh, Tajik, Pamir language, Uzbek, Karakalpakian, Uyghurian, Kyrgyz, and Dari [for Afghans].
Pray that this means of evangelism will be very effective for reaching many in Central Asia.
Joy of Christmas
The ‘Joy of Christmas’ project provides Christmas gifts for vulnerable children living in the remotest parts and highest mountain ranges in Central Asia.
Toys, sweets, children’s books and Bibles are packed into specially prepared boxes which illustrate the Christmas story. In areas where there are no churches, the ‘Joy of Christmas’ programme is offering amazing Gospel opportunities in Arab settlements and many people groups.
In a remote village in Central Asia, a man who listened to a radio broadcast was deeply touched. He and his wife gathered about 50 children, along with their parents, for the Christmas programme. Many of the children in this village had never seen so many sweets, and it was a great event for them.
This is such a wonderful God-given opportunity to take the message of the Gospel to unreached families, often Muslim families. This year, we plan on taking the Joy of Christmas to 10,000 children and their families, costing £10 each. In this way believers share about the greatest gift, God’s gift of eternal life!
