Ministry Opportunities in Central Asia

With our partners in mission God continues to open new doors of opportunity to spread the Gospel.

‘We praise Him for all that is past and trust Him for all that is to come’.

Christian Summer Camps

Praise God for the 56 summer camps that took place during summer 2022. These were in 44 different locations with 2755 children attending. Camps continue to offer wonderful Gospel opportunities. Almost three-quarters of the children come from non-Christian families. They had no believers or church connections in their families.

We thank the Lord that about two-thirds of the children came from families who consider themselves Muslim.

Pray that the good seed of God’s Word will penetrate their young hearts and still bring spiritual life.

Hope Centres

Hope Centres have proved to be a great means of breaking down barriers to the Gospel, as believers provide a place of safety and refuge, meet the physical needs of those who come, and teach life skills.

The Hope Centres operate in a predominantly Muslim culture where many are facing economic hardship. These centres offer a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel with children, families, and the wider community. Praise God that by this means groups of people are meeting to study God’s word, while others have developed into church plants.

Praise God there are now 39 Hope Centres across Central Asia. They are divided into 3 categories indicating the financial support that is required. Category A, which relies totally on support from SGA and our partners, has 16 Hope Centres. In this group between 560 and 600 children are currently cared for by believers.

We help the local churches to build the Hope Centres and to improve the conditions for ministry. Daily support is required for accommodation and food – £1 for each child per day.

Pray that God will provide for these centres as they continue their vital work, and that children and families will be won for Christ.
