Updates from Kharkiv

News from Kharkiv informs us that whilst the situation is relatively stable, missiles have continued to hit residential areas, including a block of flats.

Recently, a shopping mall was shelled and caught fire. However, the Ukrainian forces continue to hold the city. The regular missile attacks and lack of defence systems are having a negative impact on people, making them nervous and tired.

A new stage of drafting has started. As has been mentioned in the secular media, many men are afraid to go outside in case they are forcibly taken to a conscription centre and sent immediately for training.

Churches are also experiencing many challenges. People are constantly leaving the area which makes it emotionally hard for the remaining members and the ministers, leading to instability. People are still being evacuated from the frontline villages, and there is a growing ministry amongst the displaced and vulnerable.

Please pray for the churches and believers in Kharkiv to find strength in the Lord even in the midst of fear and discouragement.
