the inside story

The Gospel in a Microchip!

150 Radios have been distributed throughout Tajikistan and more are now desperately needed to meet the demand of those crying out to hear God’s Word.
If like me, you wouldn’t know an SD card if it hit you in the face, then consider yourself blessed.

Because for you these electronic storage devices are not the lifeline that they are for those whose only access to the Scriptures is through the material they contain.

For some time now, Trans World Radio and SGA have partnered together in Central Asia to distribute electronic devices into which SD cards and USB sticks can be inserted.

Each one is preloaded with Christian content, making the Scriptures and solid Bible teaching available to those who otherwise would not have access to such life-giving material.

“… faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God’’

Despite the difficulties of ministering in a country so opposed to the Gospel, 150 of the electronic devices have been distributed throughout Tajikistan and more are now desperately needed to meet the demand of those crying out to hear God’s Word. Elsewhere, the devices have been handed out more widely, with 1500 radios and a similar number of SD cards and USB sticks distributed every six months in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The hope is that this number will increase, with the only limit being the funds that are available to purchase the devices.

Praise God for this simple means by which He has ordained that the Gospel can be shared. Pray for the funds to become available so that those who live in far off places, and cherish the Word of God so dearly, might yet have the joy of hearing it daily.
