This was the theme of this year’s SGA [UK] Residential Conference, as we gathered to celebrate 75 years of God’s faithfulness.
It was a joyful time of celebration, not only in giving thanks to God for all that He has done over SGA’s 75-year history, but also to hear of all that He continues to do through almost  200 missionary pastors whom SGA is currently helping to finance.
Those who gathered were privileged to sit under the ministry of Dr Paul Negrut, President of Emanuel University, Romania, who brought a daily inspiring message from the Scriptures. Also present were other long-term friends of SGA: Donát Ficsor (Hungary), Peter Mihalchiuk (Moldova), and Igor Bandura (Ukraine), as well as friends from Bible Mission, and Trans World Radio.
Each brought news of how God is working in different ways and various situations across Central and Eastern Europe, and throughout Central and Northern Asia. Stories were told of the Gospel being proclaimed over the airwaves, of new Scripture translations distributed across predominantly Muslim nations, and of personal evangelism taking place everywhere from remote rural villages to communities caught up in war.
Wherever and however it took place, the proclamation of the Good News had the same aim – to bring unbelievers to saving faith in Jesus Christ, and to bring glory to God for His amazing grace.
Alongside the main meetings our youth/young adult sessions focused on serving God both at home and abroad, and on proving His faithfulness even in the most difficult circumstances.
After sharing communion together on the Sunday morning, partners, supporters, and SGA staff went their separate ways, excited and encouraged by a wonderful weekend, centred on what God is doing through His Word and by His Spirit.
