Reaching Children for Jesus

It is encouraging and thrilling to report on a packed summer programme of camp ministry to children, young people, and adult groups.
For the first time in several years, programmes which had been severely curtailed or cancelled because of Covid-19 have been reinstated. In various locations in Poland, Romania, and in Central Asia a full programme was possible, with thousands of young people hearing the Gospel story. Some camps are of particular note.

Balti, Moldova

Bethany Camp had a full summer programme. The excellent facilities near to the city which SGA helped to support financially, have proved to be a first-rate resource for the sharing of the Gospel with people of all ages.

‘Day Camps’ in a number of villages have also proved spiritually valuable.

SGA sponsored missionary pastor, Sasha Polishchiuk, reports that in the town of Frunze and Lenkautsy, children’s day camps were held with the support of SGA. They were attended by 185 children and many parents. During the event in Lenkautsy, the mayor addressed the believers with a word of appreciation.

Ukraine

In a number of locations in Ukraine, despite the hostilities, churches organized week-long ‘Day Camps’ for children and young people. The Baptist Union of Churches arranged 270 such camps.

SGA helped to support this venture financially, convinced that these are precious opportunities to reach a generation of young people caught in the horrors of war, with the message of the Gospel that can bring peace in Jesus.

Mongolia

Summer camps have been organized in seven regions of Mongolia, with the support of SGA and our partners in Bible Mission. This is a thrilling extension of SGA’s interest and involvement in this needy country.
