Christian Literature
Christian Literature
Why are we involved in this ministry?
The legacy of fifty years of Communism in Eastern Europe and Central Asia was a desperate shortage of Bibles and Christian literature. The problem was not just a financial one. Literature was just not available. To help meet this need SGA aims to make available the best Biblically based western books to churches and individuals.
What are the three areas of this ministry?
Translating / Publishing
This has been undertaken in Central Asia, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Ukraine and Moldova. Providing literature in Romania has been a huge investment where over 25 titles have been published, many in partnership with Emanuel University which are compulsory reading for the students.
Supporting ‘in country’ writers
Ivan Grozdanov (Macedonia) recently published 12 booklets on the ‘Basics of Christian Beliefs’. Ben Faragau (Romania) published over 40 titles including many Bible commentaries. Donat Ficsor (Hungary) produced creation material for children and young people.
Mission School Student Libraries

What are the current literature projects?

Why is SGA funding important?
Costs for translating and printing books can be enormous. Production involves many highly skilled people such as translators, editors, designers, and publishers.

For almost a half century, SGA supported our literature ministry. The books are distributed in the entire country and in the Romanian communities abroad. Only God knows how these books are used and how lives are changed. We have feedbacks from time to time and we are thankful to the Lord that He uses us in this way. We are so thankful for our SGA supporters and staff, and for this relationship in the ministry of God’s Kingdom.
Appreciation from Ben Faragau!
