In 2016 Violeta Goran founded “Casa Filip”.
It was named after her husband, who died of cancer. Her desire was to provide affordable accommodation for relatives of those undergoing cancer treatment in the hospital at Cluj, Romania.
The new “Casa Filip” house also in Cluj, opened its doors on 26 September 2023.
New bathrooms, kitchens and floors have been installed. New furniture for the dining room has been purchased, ready to serve meals to those who stay as guests. All 15 bedrooms are now fitted out and ready for use by those undergoing cancer treatment in Cluj-Napoca hospital, and their families. The new house can accommodate up to 40 people.
