The Christmas programmes organized by Rivne church, led by Pastor Roman Kurbatskyi, exemplify a meaningful approach to the season by addressing the pain of children affected by war and loss while simultaneously pointing them to the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Despite the sombre circumstances from which the children came, the event held in a school provided a space for healing, love, and the true meaning of Christmas through sharing from the Bible and having engaging conversations about the gift of Christ’s hope, culminating in giving presents to 123 children and receiving positive feedback from teachers.
Please continue to pray that the Gospel message will deeply touch the hearts of these children and their teachers, bringing comfort and hope amidst their suffering.
SGA UK supports the efforts of Ukrainian churches to use this season as an opportunity to reach out to their communities, as people are more receptive to hearing about the true meaning of Christmas, by funding gifts and organizing festivities for children, youth, and their parents, who are in special need of care and love.
