Last Friday, Odessa Theological Seminary celebrated the graduation of 79 students from various academic programmes, marking the conclusion of its 36th academic season.
It was a joyful day of celebration and thanksgiving, as they praised God for His grace, which continues to sustain them, even amid the harsh realities of war.
Among the many graduates, two groups stood out: the master’s students and those completing the Ministry to the Visually Impaired certificate programme. Although they represent different academic levels, all of them demonstrated exceptional resilience and determination throughout their studies. For many of the staff, they have become shining examples of hope and perseverance. These students demonstrated remarkable musical talent, and the songs they performed during the ceremony were among the highlights of the event.
One of the key areas that the seminary is committed to supporting is the pastoral ministry. They firmly believe that pastors play a vital role in the life of the Church and bear great responsibility. The Seminary offers specialized academic programmes and regularly hosts pastors’ conferences.
This year, OTS established the Pastoral Ministry Development Fund as a financial resource to help advance pastoral ministry. This fund will support initiatives such as scholarships for pastoral students, the promotion of pastoral theology, alongside research and publications in this field.
