The question asked by many in Ukraine is still, “Will people come back home?” Most people feel that the longer the war continues, more people will settle in their new environment and not return to their areas. We were informed that eight million have left the country, 20% of those are men. It is estimated that one million military personnel are serving in the army. During the past 23 months of war major destruction has taken place with 10% of buildings destroyed in Ukraine.
There is a growing humanitarian crisis across the country. During 2022 there were 11 million people registered for aid but now that figure has increased to 18 million with this number expected to rise.
