We were so pleased that we could meet in person again for our conferences as we gave thanks to God for His faithfulness over 70 years.
Covid-19 demolished our 70th anniversary conference plans for 2020! Nonetheless, delayed by a year, they did not lose the momentum and blessing!
The safe arrival of our friends from Romania, Slovakia, and Central Asia was welcome news as they surmounted many ‘pandemic barriers’ to be with us.
The spiritually rich ministry of the ‘Emanuel Singers’ (students and graduates from Emanuel Christian University, Oradea, Romania) will not be forgotten, as well as the Spirit-anointed preaching of Dr Paul Negrut.
Ministry reports from Tomas Henzel [Slovakia], Gerhard Friesen [Bible Mission], and Oni Mladin [Romania], brought a wonderful insight into the work of God in different countries. All who attended the events were greatly blessed.
The belated 70th anniversary celebration tour included the Residential Conference at Abingdon, Oxfordshire, and the Northern Ireland Church Leaders’ Event, Night of Praise and Day Conference at the excellent venue at Gracehall, which was made available when our usual venue at Garvagh remained closed and unavailable.
Before the conferences in November, we had a time of rich blessing and encouragement as Violeta Fărăgău and Beate Peters visited and reported on their ministries in our series of ‘Just for Ladies’ meetings held throughout UK/Ireland in October. This was the official launching of the new SGA ladies’ ministry – ‘Phoebe Ministry’ – in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Together we thanked the Lord for His protection and enabling as we gathered to celebrate God’s faithfulness!
Our grateful thanks to the many who encourage and support us in the work. We trust the Lord for even greater things as we look to the future!
