Our friends and partners across Ukraine requested financial help to fund camps for the purpose of restoring and strengthening the physical and mental health of children, sharing the Gospel, building good relationships with the children and their parents and continuing the work with them after the camp is over.
While many of these camps will take place during this month, one of the 19 SGA-funded camps was held in Ivano-Frankivsk region in July. Pastor Pavlo shares about the event.
The camp was amazing. We spent a lot of time outdoors (weather permitting): each morning began with active and fun exercises. Alongside the entertainment, we had Bible lessons with mentors. The main theme of the camp was to show the kids that real life with Christ is far more exciting and meaningful than life in the world. The children absorbed the material like sponges. They responded positively to all the topics we covered and shared their testimonies about different situations they had experienced. After the camp, many of them wanted to come to our children's and teens' meetings.
Feedback from the children
I made a lot of new friends. The staff is great. They told us many interesting things about God. The story about Zacchaeus stood out the most to me. No matter what I do, God is always waiting for me.

Amazing camp, I’ll recommend it to all my friends. What stuck with me the most from the lessons is that God will accept me if I ask Him for forgiveness, no matter what I’ve done in the past.

We praise God for the Holy Spirit’s work during the camps that have already taken place in July. While the camp environment creates an atmosphere for fun and relaxation, which these children need so much, we pray that the current camps will influence many young lives to follow Jesus Christ.
