Equipping the Next Generation

As the Church in Armenia grows, SGA is helping to meet the need of preparing church leaders for the work ahead.
As the Gospel continues to be declared across the land of Armenia many lives are being transformed and there is increasing evidence of local church growth.

However, with that growth comes the need for a new generation of church leaders to be equipped for the work ahead. One way in which SGA is helping to meet that need is through its support of the Next Generation Leadership Programme (NGL).

This programme provides opportunities for further training, encouragement in service, and a deepening of fellowship with other young leaders who share the vision for Gospel growth.

During a visit to Armenia in May, SGA staff met with two young pastors who spoke about the deep impact of the programme and the encouragement they had received through it.

David, who pastors in central Armenia, attended his first NGL conference earlier this year. He said he was especially encouraged by the fellowship he enjoyed with other Gospel workers and by the testimonies he heard of people being reached in many different places. On returning home, he shared those stories with his own church family, encouraging them in their witness and service.

Haykaz, who pastors in southern Armenia, travelled almost ten hours to attend an NGL conference near Yerevan, bringing two other young leaders with him. He described the programme as genuinely worthwhile for both biblical training and fellowship with Gospel workers, not only from Armenia, but from across the whole region.”

Pray that God will continue to use the programme to equip and encourage the next generation of leaders as they serve the Lord and declare His Gospel.
