Alexander Oreshchin, an SGA sponsored missionary rejoices in God’s goodness to the new church he leads – ‘Vidnova’, meaning literally ‘anew’ – in Lviv. They have recently baptized five new converts and have planned another baptismal service in the near future. The church is just one year old but is growing numerically and in its witness and outreach.
In total, we reach about 100 people a week through the Sunday meetings and small group Bible studies…The youth team of our church is constantly growing, and we have a teen club with about 20 un-churched teenagers every Friday.
From Lviv, the Vidnova church has organized a medical trip to Balakliya town in eastern Ukraine, and brought much needed help there. They have a special interest in and care for families of wounded and fallen soldiers, a need which is ever growing. They bring the message of light and hope to those struggling in dark places.
