Many have forgotten what true peace and safety is, and others are traumatised by things they have witnessed and heard. This is certainly true in the city of Kherson, where SGA supports the ministries of Pastor Sergii Synii and Natalia Shevelova-Harkusha. During this time of conflict, schools operate only spasmodically, and “normal” entertainments are non-existent. However, “Christ the Saviour” church is providing opportunities for children to spend time with their peers, playing board games, watching Christian films, listening to God’s Word, and finding answers to their questions from the Sunday School teachers.
Children who had not previously attended a church, now come running to the children’s clubs on a Saturday morning, looking forward to a new meeting where they can cook something together, like pizza or pancakes, or where they can paint or engage in artistic gingerbread painting. They are so inspired and excited to do that together in their new Christian family in the church.
We are so grateful for the prayerful and financial support which enables SGA to support the ministry to children in Kherson. Please keep praying for these precious souls, that many would be won for Christ and that in Him they would find true peace and lasting joy.
