God’s Provision!

"Owing to retirements and readjustments in staff time, SGA needs to add to its personnel, and so faces some important decision-making."
"Council and staff members appeal to you to pray for godly wisdom for them as they make whatever additions or adjustments of role, may be necessary."

This was part of an article that appeared in a recent Frontline edition where our readership was encouraged to pray for new staff and for those who would be moving to new roles. We are pleased to report that God has provided new staff for the office in Rugby and a Regional Representative for the southwest of England.

Rachael Winther has been appointed as SGA Office Administrator, while Sharon Howard, who currently fills this role, takes on the position of Communications Co-ordinator. We are delighted that Sharon, who has gained amazing experience over the years, will be fulfilling this highly responsible role of developing the Mission’s publications, whilst having continuing responsibility with SGA’s Sponsorship programme.

Rachael comes to us with excellent experience as Government Statistician & School Administrator to take on her role of Office Administrator. She will also take on the responsibilities of Finance Co-ordinator, as Martyn Pearson’s retirement is imminent. Sharon will continue with her office responsibilities until the transition is complete.

Last March Chris Menzfeld retired as Regional Representative in the southwest. We are delighted to inform you that Dr Peter Aird will take up this role at the beginning of December. He is looking forward to visiting churches to share exciting accounts of what God is doing.

With Andrew Coleclough’s retirement later this year as Regional Representative in northern England and north Wales, Mark Foster [SGA Field Director] will take on this responsibility.

We continue to look to the Lord for others to represent the Mission in newly created regions. The work of Regional Representatives in building deputation schedules and constantly visiting churches is invaluable. We count it a joy and a privilege to share what God is doing in His world, especially in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Far East Russia, and Mongolia.

We commend Rachael and Peter to your prayers, trusting that they will quickly settle into the SGA family, and that Sharon with be enabled by the Lord to collate and communicate all that God is doing. Pray for Martyn and Andrew as they draw near to the end of their full-time ministry in SGA. Thankfully, they will continue in associate roles. Pray too for Mark as he takes on added responsibilities.
