SGA’s Response

SGA has already sent funds to Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia and Poland.

Orphan Children

SGA helped to coordinate the evacuation of orphan children from Grace Shelter, Odessa to Ruptawa Christian Camp/Conference Centre in Poland.

The Mission is currently funding their stay there. Including House Parents, a total of 65 people are accommodated at Ruptawa.

Missionary Families

SGA’s 35 national missionary families serving in Ukraine continue to receive much needed financial help.

Reports reveal the difficulties they face, with devastation all around them. Some are in extremely dangerous cities where they are trying to comfort and help people.

Eight missionary families are serving in east Ukraine which has been embroiled in a war for eight years. Now they are engulfed in a much more intense war.

Their greatest desire is to continue sharing the love of God and the Gospel that alone is able to bring lasting peace.

Refugees

Due to the extremely generous response to this crisis, SGA has already been able to send substantial sums of money to where it is most needed. There are several ways by which SGA is helping refugees, firstly, within Ukraine and then secondly, in surrounding countries. Pastor Igor Bandura outlined how SGA’s funding will help within Ukraine.

There is a two-pronged approach – first, providing aid for churches and believers who are taking care of displaced people in West Ukraine. Second, and the most critically is getting aid to those who are in besieged cities and towns.

The surrounding countries of Moldova, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland are dealing with massive numbers of refugees. SGA has already sent funds to Moldova, Romania, Slovakia and Poland and is in consultation with believers in Hungary concerning necessary financial support.
