SGA is currently seeking to appoint Regional and Voluntary Representatives.
REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE
The role of Regional Representatives is to present the ministries of SGA and its need of resources and prayer before the Christian Church in UK and Ireland. The position involves the challenge of maintaining established contacts and opening new doors for deputation into churches/fellowships unaware of SGA’s work. This involves making personal contact with pastors, missionary coordinators etc and seeking to interest them in SGA’s ministries.
There is also opportunity to be involved in SGA’s teaching programme in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Necessary requirements
To fulfil this role effectively the following are necessary:
- A deep love for God and His Word.
- Called of God into this position, gifted to preach and to present the ministries of SGA through regular deputation.
- An interest in the ministry of Slavic Gospel Association or the fields in which the Mission operates.
- IT skills for administration and presentations.
- Residence in the area where the vacancy applies.
Operational Responsibilities
- Presenting the work of SGA to the Christian public.
- Undertaking preaching and speaking engagements.
- Using visual and audio-visual presentations prepared by you or by the Mission, ensuring that they are factually accurate, up-to-date, and of acceptable quality.
- Keeping an accurate data file of contacts and activities within your region.
Those appointed as Regional Representatives must have a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, be committed to their local churches and be in agreement with the Doctrinal Statement and Ethos of the Mission.

VOLUNTARY REPRESENTATIVE
Voluntary Representatives promote within the UK or Ireland, interest in, and prayer for the church in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Activities of a VR might include:
- Encouraging people to receive Breakthrough magazine & the Prayer Bulletin from SGA.
- Contacting Missionary secretaries and/or committees of churches to inform them of the work of SGA and to try to obtain openings to tell of our ministry.
- Maintaining close links between SGA and supporting churches in your area.
- Making arrangements in conjunction with your local SGA representative or the SGA Regional Co-ordinator, for conferences and itineraries.
- Forming a group of interested people in your area who could pray regularly for the Church and its people, in our area of ministry.
SGA are aware that people’s gifts and availability may vary; however, the mission appreciates commitment where possible in this role.
Those appointed as Voluntary Representatives must have a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, be committed to their local churches and be in agreement with the Doctrinal Statement and Ethos of the Mission.
