Sponsor an Orphan

Sponsoring a child in Eastern European or Central Asia through SGA could make all the difference between an orphan on the street, living in a secular/state orphanage, or experiencing love and support in a Christian Orphanage or believing family.

Increasing poverty and severe cuts in spending on social programmes mean that more and more children in Eastern Europe and Central Asia are excluded from the benefits of economic progress.

New-children-oct-2011Following the collapse of the communist system in the 1990s, expectations were high that institutional childcare would be reformed. However, many countries are finding it difficult to sustain the standards of welfare required to support the growing needs. If the natural family is unable to care for its own children, institutional care is still the option most readily available. Once children have been placed in such institutions, contact with their natural family is often non-existent. In both Eastern Europe and Central Asia there are many orphaned and vulnerable children in need of sponsorship. Sponsorship through SGA will ensure upbringing in a loving Christian environment. Regular reports on children’s progress and development are made available to sponsors.

Costs £30 per month per child will provide care for needy children. Part sponsorship is welcomed. You can commit to this for whatever period you choose.
