To serve the Church among the Slavic nations of the world by assisting it to become fully equipped to fulfil the great commission of Jesus Christ

Prayer Diary

We are grateful to those who faithfully pray for the work of SGA - churches, prayer groups and individuals - throughout the UK, Ireland and beyond. We are always concerned to see our ‘prayer base’ strengthened:

‘Much Prayer, much power; little prayer, little power’!

  • Wednesday 16 August

Remember Jan Henzel, SLOVAKIA as he is involved in a preaching and teaching ministry around the churches. Pray that the Lord will use him to bring much needed encouragement to his ministerial colleagues and congregations around the country.

  • Thursday 17 August

Pray for our sister, Bohuslava Havrilova in her work with children. May she know wisdom and help as she interacts with teenagers and strives to guide them in the right way.

  • Friday 18 August

Pray for the land of SLOVAKIA today, where evangelical Christians are viewed with suspicion by some. Pray that believers will be “salt and light” to those around them and remain steadfast in their faith.

  • Sunday 20 August

We thank God for the opportunities that Summer Camps bring to many in Eastern Europe, to share the Gospel with youngsters who perhaps otherwise would never hear about the Saviour who loves them. Pray for this work, and for the follow-up that often takes place. May many young hearts be turned to God this summer.

  • Monday 21 August

Pray for Clive Langston and his wife Margaret living in Worthing. May he be greatly used as he serves the Lord in the South East. Derek Maxwell is representing SGA at the Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention this week. Pray that new prayer partners will join us in the work of the Mission.

  • Tuesday 22 August

Tomasz Chylka, POLAND, is running a week-long evangelism course with students from the Mission School. May they be blessed as they seek to evangelise the lost in that needy country.

  • Wednesday 23 August

Pray for all those involved in translating, writing or producing Christian literature in EE and Central Asia. May these books be helpful and instructive to Christians and unbelievers and help with the spread of the Gospel.

  • Thursday 24 August

Pray for all those in the “underground” churches in Central Asia. May they know daily protection and endurance as they face many trials.

  • Friday 25 August

We are thankful for the many SGA prayer supporters, and all those who regularly meet to pray for the work. May they be encouraged by answers to prayer, and may God keep them faithful in remembering the work of the Mission.

  • Sunday 27 August

We remember the work of the Medical Mission teams, operating in Moldova and Ukraine. Please remember them as they prayerfully seek to know the Lord’s will with regard to increasing the number of “surgeries” currently held. Pray for the many folk who come to find physical help and relief. Pray that they will know spiritual healing also.
